BAS-CVS Bypass Air Terminals units are used to achieve variable air volume delivery of conditioned air to a space or zone where constant volume air handlers exist. Variable air volume control is achieved by directing air flow either to the space or to a bypass port in direct response to a signal from the room thermostat. A locking quadrant on the inlet balancing damper determines the total air flow through the box.
Air terminal units are available in both standalone configurations and BMS-compatible applications, including BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks.
