Multi-blade Fire Dampers

Product Information

In high-rise buildings, when riser shaft ducts penetrate fire/smoke barriers and enter compartments, it is mandatory to install a fire damper in the HVAC opening to maintain the integrity of the barrier, as required by international and local standards and codes such as the UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, IBC, and NFPA. Additionally, air balancing is required when the HVAC branch duct enters a compartment. To achieve this, a volume control damper must also be installed after the fire damper.

Therefore, to meet the codes and air balancing requirements, two separate products are traditionally installed to satisfy the requirements of two separate aspects.

To address both these requirements with a single product, BAS-CVS has designed a solution which has already been tested and certified by UL. This product is called a Multi-Blade Fire Damper (Static & Dynamic) and considered as a 2-in-1 product providing dual functionality to satisfy two different aspects as described above.
